Plasencia is a city in the province of Cáceres, located in the north of the autonomous community of Extremadura, Spain. The location of this skatepark is iside a public park called Parque de La Isla. It gets its name from being a river island located in the urban stretch of the Jerte River. The island is located in the east of the city, about half a kilometer east of its historic center, in a stretch where the Jerte River flows from northeast to southwest. The cadastral plot of the park covers 80,109 m².

The island has a bar, restaurant, and kiosk. Other areas of the park include a children’s playground with swings, sculptures, a picnic area, a fitness area for seniors, and a dog run, among other features. The green space continues downriver with the Cachón Park and upriver with a 5-km path that leads to the Plasencia Reservoir.

The program includes a parkour area and a skate area. A recreational area is also planned between the skatepark and parkour. A 395 m2 parkour area is planned with rubber flooring, concrete walls, and galvanized steel bars. The skatepark occupies an area of ​​1,010 m2 and it is divided into a bowl and a street area. The bowl includes various extensions, metal cooping, and pool cooping. The street area includes some classic skatepark features such as funbox, handrails and hubbas, as well as more specialized elements such as a fire hydrant. The recreational area is located between the parkour and skate areas and covers an area of ​​71 m2. The surface and pavement treatments offer a variety of textures and colors, with tinted concrete and granite surfaces in the skatepark and green rubber flooring in the parkour area.
